Capitalism asks for everything. It grinds at the body through overwork, gnaws at the mind through precarity and isolation, and hollows out the soul by telling us our worth is measured in output. The weight of that demand is real, and carrying it alone is part of how the system keeps us compliant.
Our chapter answers with a culture of care, camaraderie, and collective joy. We refuse the idea that we have to earn rest or earn belonging. Instead, we make room for each other to show up as our whole selves. That happens at our socials, in our listening circles (most often digital, always open), through humor that keeps us human, over good food and shared recipes, and in our fitness working group, the Swoletariat. None of this is incidental to the political work. Taking care of one another is how we build the kind of solidarity that outlasts any single campaign.
