Kansas DSA

Alongside the Flint Hills chapter, Kansas is home to six other regional DSA chapters and three Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) chapters, based at the University of Kansas, Kansas State University, and Pittsburg State University.

Kansas has no official statewide DSA chapter, but we stay connected through a Discord channel where members across the state share updates and coordinate on what’s happening around the region.

In January 2026, we held our first state convention in Wichita. Chapters from across Kansas came together to build skills across a range of organizing work: security and marshaling, electoral organizing, strategic campaigns, mass organization building, tenant organizing, recruitment, fundraising, and queer liberation.
