Some members of the Flint Hills, Chapter of DSA went door to door to encourage Manhattan voters to vote NO on the Kansas Elections for Supreme Court Justices Amendment that is on the ballot for August 4, 2026. Currently, the Supreme Court of Kansas is elected through the Supreme Court Nomination Commission, Voting NO would keep this commission instead of the proposed alternative, electing Supreme Court Justices through election campaigns. This means that the same billionaire political donors who buy our representatives and senators could do the same for judges.
